We believe that this will be 'a generation on its knees to see a nation changed.'
We have a set of core values that help us shape and set the culture of KCC Youth. When a young person comes to Youth, they can expect us to be:
We will go all out to champion and celebrate with anyone who steps through out doors. We will help you get connected, find a place to belong and feel at home.
We will relentlessly seek the face of God in our worship, prayer and preaching. Jesus is the hope of the world and we will always point young people into a deeper relationship with Him.
We believe in a powerful, mighty, miracle working God and we have faith to believe for the impossible. We will think and dream without limit and pray with bold faith for God to do immeasurably more than we can think, ask or imagine.
We will get alongside and call out the God given talent and uniqueness from within every young person. Everyone has greatness within them and we will encourage and call this out of people.
We speak people up, are quick to honour, celebrate diversity, embrace uniqueness and call out gifting. Everyone is valued, has the right to he heard and has a voice.
We will put others above ourselves; we will give what is not being asked of us and go further than we are being asked to go. We will give our all in everything we do because it is more blessed to give than to receive.
We refuse to be an entitled generation but will work and serve hard. We will get our hands dirty and are stuck into all areas of church life. We are not a ministry within the church; we are the church and will serve at every opportunity.
We refuse to believe we have arrived and ever know enough or have enough of God. We are committed to growth and learning to deepen our maturity in Christ. We will be devoted all by ourselves and see personal growth as our own responsibility.
Every young person is a mouthpiece for God. We want young people to take their faith outside of the church walls and into their daily setting with an open invitation to faith and the church community. We will ensure we put on events and activities for young people to invite their friends too. We will offer a call for salvation each week in anticipation that there will always be new young people with us hungry to start a faith journey.
