Leadership Team

Our Senior Leadership Team are responsible for the spiritual direction of the church.

The experienced team, made up of eight married couples, create the strategy to outwork KCC’s overarching vision; defining the programs, culture and ethos of the church.

The current team comprises:

Iain and Elizabeth Duthie

Iain & Liz

Iain and Elizabeth have been married for over thirty years and have five married adult kids and four grandchildren. Iain succeeded his father in law in 2004, leaving his career as a general practitioner in the city and becoming the lead pastor of King’s Community Church.  With Elizabeth, who works as primary school teacher, they have always been sold out for the local church.

Both of them would agree that there is nothing better than to see a community of totally diverse yet devoted people coming together as a life giving church, passionate to see Jesus’ instruction to take this wonderful good news into our city and beyond fulfilled, and to see lives of people genuinely transformed.

David and Kudzi Dangfa

David & Kudzi

David and Kudzi have been married for eight years and have two young boys, Israel and Malachi.

David is originally from Nigeria and works in the oil and gas sector, whilst Kudzi, from Zimbabwe, is a cancer nurse by profession, but currently works as a full-time Mum.

The couple are always amazed by the grace of God and how He accepts us as we are – with all our imperfections and baggage – leading and guiding us as a constant refuge and help through the journey of life.

Ryan and Pamela Esslemont

Ryan & Pam

Ryan and Pamela actually met at King’s Community Church and have now been married for nine years.

The couple have three children – Ethan, Aaron and Elisa – and are driven to reach out to people and make the world a better place.

Ryan works in the oil and gas sector, while Pamela has switched careers; from Health & Safety to a full-time Mum, cleaner, cook, laundrette assistant and taxi.

What excites them most is the abundant life that Jesus offers to all who follow Him.

Thomas and Pretty Mathew

Thomas & PrettyThomas and Pretty are both from Kerela, India, and have been married for 16 years, with two children Kessia and Kevin.

Thomas co-ordinates the Pastoral Care ministry at KCC, as well as leading the Malayalam Fellowship, while Pretty works as a nurse in Aberdeen hospital.

Nothing excites the couple more than seeing people transformed by the love of God.

Barry and Kath McAllister

Barry & Kath

Barry and Kath have been married for 14 years and have three young children, Sarah, Reuben and Eve.

Barry is from Fraserburgh and works in the finance sector, whilst Kath, originally from Hartlepool, is a Biology teacher, currently looking after the kids fulltime.

God continually amazes the couple by how He transforms lives individually and through the local church by His limitless love.

Jonny and Olu Milne

Jonny and Olu

Jonny and Olu Milne have been married for five years and have two young children; Temi and Tobi.

Both work in the oil and gas sector and enjoy nice food, good movies and family holidays.

They are constantly inspired by how God uses people from all walks of life, regardless of their past, to do amazing things that they could never do in their own strength.

Tom and Leanne Seal

Leadership- Tom and Leanne

Tom and Leanne are both key members of the King’s Community Church staff team, serving as Ministry Associates.

The couple, who married six years ago, recently welcomed their first child into the world; little Phoebe Arabella.

Enjoying all things social, Tom, from Kent, and Leanne, from Nottingham, love to enjoy great chat over good coffee.

With a real heart for young people, they are driven by how God transforms lives, giving individuals a plan, purpose and full life.

Andy and Rachael West

Andy & Rach

Andy and Rachael have been married for eight years and have two young children, Naomi and Asher. Both are musical and enjoy family time, skiing and catching up with friends.

Andy, who works in the oil and gas sector, and Rachel, a lawyer, ultimately see themselves as serving God, the city and our church while doing life and working their jobs on the side.

They are passionate about journeying with others and helping them to grow in their faith and walk with Christ.
